The Birth of ishwah:

Their Joint Vision: Preserving Artisanal Techniques, Empowering Craftsmen, Delivering Timeless Bridal Couture

Saumi — The Visionary Weaver of Heritage and Precision

Saumi — The Visionary Weaver of Heritage and Precision

In Saumi’s world, heritage and modernity entwine like warp and weft on a loom. Learnings of Computer Applications and the entrepreneurial mind behind a successful digital signature venture, she embodies precision and foresight. Yet, beneath the exactness of her technological pursuits beats the heart of an artist—one shaped by years of Bharatnatyam, where every gesture carries history, geometry and grace.

It was this rare confluence—logic and lyricism—that gave birth to Ishwah:. Saumi’s sensibility is rooted in heritage, her eye drawn to the intricacies of zardozi, the storytelling of Parsi work, and the meticulousness of Nakshi-Aari. She sees each garment not simply as couture but as a preserved fragment of India’s living history, reimagined for a discerning bride.

As Creative Custodian of Heritage, Saumi leads Ishwah:’s design philosophy and craft curation. She is the guardian of artisanal authenticity—sourcing rare techniques, working closely with master craftsmen, and ensuring each collection resonates with cultural integrity.

From concept sketches to approving the final embroidery swatch, she ensures Ishwah:’s creations remain timeless in their artistry and flawless in execution.

Shruti — The Architect of Contemporary Silhouettes

Shruti — The Architect of Contemporary Silhouettes

Shruti Joshi moves through the world with both the focus of an athlete and the imagination of an artist. An MBA in HR and a diploma holder in Fashion, she honed her discipline as a national-level basketball player—skills that now serve her as a designer with a relentless pursuit of perfection. Since her early twenties, she has envisioned herself as a custodian of Indian craft who dares to reshape it for the present.

Her talent lies in transforming tradition into trend-setting modernity. Surface ornamentation becomes sculpture under her hand; fabric manipulation turns silks and organzas into fluid architecture. Shruti’s creations carry both the echo of royal ateliers and the ease of contemporary wear—ideal for the bride who demands legacy without losing herself to it.

As Design and Silhouette Director, Shruti shapes the brand’s contemporary design language. She interprets traditional craft into modern, wearable couture—defining silhouettes, exploring new drapes, and pushing the boundaries of fabric structure. Her role ensures Ishwah: remains as forward-looking as it is deeply rooted, giving each collection its unmistakable modern resonance.
